INVESTIGATORS keeping watch on a Kingswood address busted three men with cocaine worth £500,000.

Officers from the National Crime Agency (NCA) were observing an address in Britton Gardens, Bristol Crown Court heard.

Three Albanian men who left the scene were found to have either packages of cocaine or false identity documents.

Denis Markeci, 29; and Endri Cena, 26, both of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to possessing cocaine with intent to supply on December 6 last year.

The men, as well as Dorian Zili, 25, also of no fixed address, also pleaded guilty to having fake identity documents.

Recorder Kevin De Hann jailed Cena for seven years, Markeci for five years and eight months and Zili for six months.

He told the men: “These are serious offences.”

Drugs and false documents were ordered destroyed and there will be a hearing later to claw back criminal proceeds.

Cena and Markeci are likely to be deported after serving their time.

James Hakell, prosecuting, said Markeci was stopped in a Golf car and found to have a kilo of 54 per cent pure cocaine.

The NCA also found £300 cash in the boot of the car Markeci was driving.

The court heard Cena tried to flee the house but was arrested and found with four kilos of 63 per cent pure cocaine.

In the property itself, officers found a further kilo of 74-77 per cent pure cocaine as well as digital scales, “dealer’s lists” and a total of £6,000 in cash.

Zili, who had left the house in a Mercedes car, was arrested later and was found to have a fake Romanian ID card and driving licence.

The other two men were found to have fake Italian documents.

Matthew Buckland, defending Cena, said that his client had entered the UK unlawfully.

He said that though he held a degree in PE, he earned less than £100 a month in Albania and had been trying to earn money to send back to his family.

Huw Bowden, defending Markeci, said that his client was also an illegal immigrant and had also been trying to earn money to send back home.

Robert Morgan-Jones, defending Zili, said that his client had also entered the UK illegally and, having failed to get work in Albania, he had tried to find a better life and support elderly parents.
