AS SPARKS CONTINUE TO FLY BETWEEN SOLICITOR HANNAH AND HER DISHY COLLEAGUE... IS HER MARRIAGE BACK IN TROUBLE?

-

THE family of high-flying lawyers returns as complicated cases and personal lives combust on a daily basis.

It’s been two years since series one of this classy drama, starring Nicola Walker as top solicitor Hannah Stern.

Her marriage to Nathan, played by Stephen Mangan, seems to have gotten back on track – well for about five minutes.

What Nathan doesn’t know is that every time Hannah sees Christie, played by the gorgeous Barry Atsma, they can’t seem to

keep their hands off each other.

Now Christie wants her to have his front door key, which leaves Hannah bewildered – and allows Nicola Walker to do that staccato, stuttering acting that we love her for.

Meanwhile, back at work, watch out for Donna Air as a high-profile new client, TV presenter and reality star Fi Hansen.

“No biggie really, it’s my prenup, I wanted to be sure I was protected,” she says, making out that she loves her husband and it’s just a formality.

But the spontaneous sobbing suggests otherwise.

In other news, after the death of the Defoe family’s absent father Oscar, Hannah and her sisters and mother all dutifully gather on Hampstead Heath to scatter his ashes.

Except that, once there, no one can think of a good word to say about him.

Eventually his grandson pipes up: “Even though Grandma says you were a dirty dog and couldn’t help yourself, I thought you were all right. And thank you for the condom.”

Families eh, a merry nightmare – but they make for great telly.
