Toolstatio­n Ben strikes as Roman Glass make it four in a row

ROMAN Glass St George made it four wins on the spin with a 1-0 Premier Division success against Cadbury Heath on the artificial surface at Oaklands Park.

Ben Bament, a summer signing from Paulton Rovers, struck in the second half to clinch a victory which lifted Roman Glass up to fourth in the table.

Plymouth Parkway remained three points clear at the top after two goals in each half secured a 4-0 win against Brislingto­n at Ironmould Lane.

Billy Palfrey, Callum Hall, Ryan Richards and Matt Wright scored for the leaders.

Chipping Sodbury are still searching for a first win of the season but gained an excellent point from a goalless draw at third-placed Buckland Athletic.

Bitton’s expected title challenge suffered an early blow with a 4-3 defeat at Shepton Mallet, who led through Joe Morgan’s superb curled effort at the break.

Morgan, Matt Morris and Tyson Pollard added further goals for Shepton in the second half, while Bitton responded with strikes frm Aysa Corrick, Ryan Bath and Liam Bishop.

Ethan Feltham gave Clevedon Town an early lead at Bradford Town, who hit back to lead at halftime via goals from Aaron Witchell and Ross Lye.

Clevedon pulled level again on 62 minutes when Archie Ferris pounced on the rebound from Syd Camper’s free-kick, and that proved to be the end of the scoring.

Much-improved Odd Down had a 4-1 home success against Bridport, thanks to a 35th-minute goal from Tom Burgess and second-half strikes from Will Hunter, Joe Jarvis and Dylan Hatt.

Bridport replied through an Ed Plackett own goal in the second half.

Hallen went down 5-2 at Tavistock, who went two up inside nine minutes and led 5-1 at the break. Jordan Whittaker and Sacha Tong struck for Hallen.

Cribbs lost 2-1 at Westbury, having been two down at half-time. Steve Murray reduced the arrears in the second period.

Ashton & Backwell continue to top the First Division table after securing a fifth successive victory with a 3-1 triumph at Sherborne Town.

Ben Jones and Jordan Scadding put the Stags two up inside 10 minutes, and Callum Townsend added the third in the second half.

Lebeq United remain in second place, despite going down 3-2 at Wincanton Town, while Warminster are still third, despite losing 2-1 at home to Bishop Sutton, whose goals came from Oaklan Buck and Callum Baker.

Welton Rovers were indebted to a 68th-minute free-kick from Kyle Box for a 1-0 victory at Bishops Lydeard.

First-half goals from Stuart Alexander, Ash Knight and Matt Davies fired Almondsbur­y to a 3-0 home win against Bristol Telephones.

Longwell Green Sports went down 2-0 at Calne Town, who took the lead through a 23rd-minute own goal and added a late second through Matty Jenkins.

Hengrove Athletic lost 2-0 at Wells City, whose two goals came from Tom Hill.
