LUCAS Vowles struck in the 90th minute to clinch a 3-2 win for Bristol Manor Farm in the Division One South game against Highworth Town at The Creek.

It was the second goal of the game for the young striker, a summer recruit from Clevedon Town, and completed an excellent few days for Lee Lashenko’s side following their 2-1 FA Cup win at Yate Town.

Lewis Leigh-Gilchrist fired Manor Farm into a 12th-minute lead following a one-two with Lewis Bamford on the edge of the Highworth penalty area.

Callum McGhee-Parsons equalised from close range on 25 minutes, but Vowles restored Farm’s advantage soon after when he capitalised on a defensive error and slid the ball past goalkeeper Connor Johns.

Ashley Edenborough drew Highworth level early in the second half when he fired home from six yards.

Manor Farm finished the stronger of the sides and, after Vowles, Bamford and Jamie Turner had all gone close to scoring, Vowles goot the winner with a back-heel flick following a long throw from Steve Kingdon.

In Southern Premier South, Yate Town bounced back from their FA Cup disappointment to win 4-1 at home to Dorchester Town.

First-half goals from Jordan Williams and Sam Turl put Yate in command, and Andy Lewis made it 3-0 soon after the restart.

Stuart Fleetwood added a fourth on 58 minutes, before Dorchester

grabbed a consolation through Sam Bayston’s stoppage-time strike.

Weston-super-Mare had to settle for a point from a 1-1 draw at home against Met Police.

Ricky Johnson’s back-post finish put the Met ahead on 18 minutes, but Ryan Jones equalised shortly before the break after latching on to a crossfield pass from on-loan winger James Waite.

Paulton Rovers were knocked out the FA Trophy, beaten 5-4 on penalties following a 1-1 draw at fellow Division One South side Cirencetser Town.

There was plenty of penalty

drama in normal time, as well as at the end of the game.

Paulton were awarded a fourthminute spot-kick after Cirencester goalkeeper Alex Harris brought down Will Hailston, but he saved Hailston’s penalty.

Then, in the 35th minute, Harris was sent off for shoving over Dan Cottle. His replacement in goal, Josh Nelmes, saved Marcus Day’s penalty, but Cottle put away the rebound to give Paulton the lead.

Despite being down to 10 men, Cirencester drew level on 75 minutes when Brad Gray scored with a fine shot from the edge of the penalty area.
