Girl approached by strangers

-

A SCHOOL in south Bristol has warned parents to be vigilant after a girl was approached by two strangers in a car.

West Town Lane Academy, in Brislington, got in touch with parents after the incident, which happened on Wednesday morning.

The letter said one of their pupils was approached by two men in a silver vehicle outside Oasis Academy Brislington, by the entrance on Hungerford Road.

It said: “The men asked the girl to approach the car, but thankfully she ran off towards West Town Lane and is now safe in school.

“The police have been informed and are currently investigating.

“We have spoken to our older children who walk home alone advising them to be extremely cautious.”

Head teacher Adrian Robbins said the two men beckoned her over but she ran to the school.
