Sunday football Palmer hits a hat-trick in latest Sporting success

THE Bristol Premier Sunday League programme was cut roughly in half last weekend as games were postponed due to the wet weather.

Sporting QTAC are already looking unstoppabl­e in Division Three as the Filton-based side made it four wins out of four, and boosted their goal difference to plus 28, with an 8-0 home hammering of AFC Sodbury Reserves. Simon Palmer (3), Tom Armistead (2), Jamie Seviour (2) and Lewis Pratten scored the goals.

Tidenham Sunday Reserves also have a 100 per cent record after a 6-0 win at Longreach Athletic Reserves gave them a third victory of the season. Harry Spencer hit a hat-trick, with the other goals from Janderly Magalhaes (2) and Renato Ringoir.

In the only Premier Division game played, Bristol Weston United won 3-1 at Galenicals, whose goal came from Archie Drawbridge.

In the Senior Division, Bristol Jaguars had goals from Michael Fitzpatric­k, Sam Moran and Bradley Wilson in a 3-1 win against Warwick, who rpelied throough Sam Coles, in a game played on the 4G at Keynsham Town FC.

In Division One, Borussia Bristol stayed top despite a 5-3 home defeat to Spartans.

Cassidy Langman (2) and Chris White put Borussia 3-1 up at halftime, but Spartans hit back to take the three points following goals from Ed Holdaway (2), Bryce Andrews, Joseph Dalby and Daniel Tempan.

Yate Rangers made it three wins from four games with a 3-2 home win against Cutters Friday Sunday A.

In Division Two, Fishponds Town Wizards gained a first point of the season from a 2-2 home draw against Bristol Argyle. Elliott Franklin and Luke Gibbons scored for Wizards, with Dominic Ball and Daryl Litten on target for Argyle.

Bristol Union went top of Division Four with a 3-3 draw at South Bristol, whose goals came from Callum Gaylard (2) and Tom Noades. The Union marksmen were Aaron West (2) and Tyler Gayle.

Bristol Spartak Sunday won 6-0 at Southmead Sunday, thanks to strikes from Rico Williams (2), Jake Simmonds, Jude Dunn, Liam Milkins and an own goal.
