Science park legacy

-

WOULDN’T it be great if Bristol created a new science park to focus on infectious diseases?

William Budd was a pioneer in infectious disease control and did vital work here in Bristol, so there is a proud and important link.

We are strong in science and in data analysis.

We have two great universities and some vital health research work is done here and promoted by health research bodies and coordinators.

A new centre for Epidemiology and Virus Studies would be a fitting lasting memorial to the pandemic, to the people who died from the virus, and to the valiant hard work of our heroic NHS staff.

Science and knowledge will be a vital part of Bristol’s future, and there will be associated jobs and money spent in the local economy.

If the Government is looking to set up new centres to study viruses and infectious diseases, Bristol has got to be a contender!
