Academia too slick for the Jaguars

BRISTOL Academia made it five wins and five clean sheets from five games in the Bristol Premier Sunday League Senior Division with an 8-0 victory against Bristol Jaguars at the Netham.

Tha Academia goals were scored by Kenley Common, Rick Davis, Keanu Downer, D’Andre Gray, Liam Downer, Otis Francis and David Morgan, as well as an own goal.

Second-placed Lockstock United were held to a 3-3 draw by AFC Lodekka , who gained a first point of the season.

Declan Bartley, Joseph Craig and Cory Lower scored for Lockstock, with Shontay Campbell, Conor Hartley and Josiah Mayled on target for Lodekka.

Breakaways’ home game against Lawrence Weston Athletic also finished 3-3. Adam Rowland (2) and Daryl Towler scored for Breakaways.

Kingswood Athletic had two goals from Lewis Jefferies and one from Charlie Millard in a 3-1 home win against Air Legends , whose goal came from Jabari Ngozi.

In the Premier Division, Sportsman won 5-0 at Galenicals , while Cutters Friday were 7-3 victors at SWYD United . Liam Crispin (2), Harvey Buck, Mitchell Day, Harrison Donachie, Matthew Martin and an own goal made up the Cutters tally, while Joseph Hedger, Matthew Webley and David Duru replied for SWYD.

AFC Sodbury enjoyed a 5-3 success at Tidenham Rangers to make it four wins from four games in Division One.

Charlie Davis (2), Isaac Havard, Daniel Brown and Callum Merrett scored for Sodbury, while Mo Salihu hit a hat-trick for the Chepstowba­sed hosts.

In other Division One games, Cutters Friday A beat Yate Rangers 2-1, Hanham Cricket overcame Spartans 3-2, while Longreach Athletic defeated Borussia Bristol 8-2.

Whitchurch and Mendip Broadwalk both have four wins and one defeat from five Division Two outings.

Whitchurch had goals from Sam Moore (2), Shane Cummins and Jack Daly in a 4-0 win at Bristol Argyle , while Cameron Phipps and Jake Webb were among the scorers as Mendip Broadwalk beat Signal Generals 3-1.

AJN FC drew 3-3 with Shire Green Rovers , while Fishponds Town Wizards battled out a 4-4 draw with Shadwell Rovers .

In a top-of-the-table Division Three clash, leaders Sporting QTAC lost 1-0 at home to Hanham Athletic Sunday , whose goal came from Connor Mitchell.

AFC Sodbury Reserves beat BAWA Sports 4-2, Bristol Blues lost 1-0 to Longreach Athletic Reserves , while Sporting United overcame Tidenham Sunday Reserves 5-3.

In Division Four, pacesettin­g Bristol Union won 3-2 at Digital Dash , South Bristol lost 4-1 to Bristol Spartak , and Spartans Reserves defeated The Argonauts 3-2.

In the President’s Cup, Little Stoke OB won 8-0 at home to DRG Frenchay , thanks to four goals from Adam Porter and one apiece from Shamus Arndell, Luke Hammond, Andrew Taylor and an own goal.
