Hall the hero for Boco as Wick lose for the first time

AEK Boco stayed top of the table after inflicing a first defeat of the season on Wick .

An 89th-minute strike by Nathan Hall secured a 3-2 win for visitors Boco, as a crowd of 125 braved the wet and windy conditions to watch an enthrallin­g game.

The deadlock was n ot broken until the 67th minute when Russ Woodford forced the ball home to give Wick the lead.

That lead lasted just two minutes as Charlie Stevens’ terrific shot hit the underside of the crossbar on its way in to make it 1-1.

Wick regained the lead in the 75th minute when James Pocock stabbed home from close range, but Boco hit back immediatel­y when Hall rounded keeper Ashley Wintle to level the score again. The nail in the coffin for Wick came in the 89th minute when Hall’s shot from an acute angle went in at the far post.

Patchway Town got off to a flying start at home to Frampton United and it took just three touches before Jacob Cox lobbed the goalkeeper after just 10 seconds.

The visitors equalised in the 24th minute when Manolo Espada finished off a Charley Hobbs cross.

The home side retook the lead on 50 minutes through Cox. Frampton hit back again on 66 minutes when Jonathan Lewis scored, but Patchway grabbed the winner in the 72nd minute when Joe Teague headed home from a corner.

Henbury have yet to register their first win of the season and were edged out 3-2 at home by Rockleaze Rangers

The home side fell behind in the 14th minute when Rangers Jimmy Woolland sent over a cross that went in at the far post.

Sam Fitzgerald missed a penalty for Rangers, but Harry Madge soon made it 2-0. Jenson Manning then missed from the spot for Henbury, and it looked like game over when Marcus Williams scored a third for Rangers on 67 minutes. However, two goals in two minutes for Henbury, from Thomas Butt and Kaylen Simpson, set up a tense finish.

Shirehampt­on gained a 5-1 win at Quedgeley Wanderers.

A 31st-minute penalty from Ciaran Greening set Shire on the way to victory, and he went on to complete a hat-trick. Dean Griffiths and Joe Harvey also scored for the visitors, who led 2-1 at the break.

Little Stoke are still searcing for their first win of the season after a 2-1 home defeat to second-placed Sharpness.

Ethan Moore gave Little Stoke an eighth-minute lead, but Sharpness levelled on 36 minutes through Brad Gibbs and had an 80th-minute winner from Marley Thomas.
