BRISTOL ROVERS PLAYER RATINGS

-

JORDI VAN STAPPERSHOEF - 8

The opening goal was well out of his reach, and the cross was just too good for him to come and collect. Made an important save to deny Keshi Anderson in the second half. Then made two vital stops in the dying momnents.

MAX EHMER - 8

Continues to handle the right-back job well. Strong presence in every third of the pitch.

ALFIE KILGOUR - 9

His best performance of the season by some distance. Superb when Rovers were under huge pressure.

JACK BALDWIN - 9

Heroic, lion-hearted shift in defence. Won every header, blocked every shot and made several crucial tackles.

LUKE LEAHY - 8

Took an unnecessary risk in his own third which cost Rovers the opening goal on eight minutes. Vastly improved after the break and deserved an assist.

ED UPSON - 8

Some first-half concessions of possession around the Rovers box almost proved costly. Like many Rovers players, much better in the second half and defended well.

ZAIN WESTBROOKE - 7

Quiet first half with Blackpool dominant. More influential in the second half as the spaces opened up for the midfielder to pick his passes.

LUKE MCCORMICK - 7

Far from his best on the ball, with his passing wayward and decision-making questionable, but he put in an immense shift for the Gas.

ERHUN OZTUMER - 8 (Pictured)

A sprinkling of class in this Rovers side. Had a hand in the equaliser and was a calming presence on the ball.

BRANDON HANLAN - 6

Had a tough start to the game with Rovers really struggling to see any of the ball, but when he was gifted with a chance to equalise he made no mistake, rolling his chance into the bottom corner with ease.

Had a nightmare second half, however, seeing his penalty saved before spurning a gilt-edged chance moments later.

SAM NICHOLSON - 9

What a goal, what a player! The Scotsman teed up Hanlan for the equaliser before getting one for himself in stunning fashion. Blackpool goalkeeper Sam Walker had the best view in the house, standing rooted as the half-volley rocketed into the top corner. Had no right to score, but he did, and it gave Rovers three huge points.
