Just get rid of motor cars

- Brian Griffiths Bristol

NOW that we are finding answers to the coronavirus we must urgently tackle our climate change problems.

These could easily be solved as well as many others if we simply got rid of our motor cars.

Just think, almost overnight we could halve the police force, halve the number of doctors and nurses needed and save the country millions in solicitors’ fees spent on accidents and deaths.

Financially everyone would be much better off as many families spend at least a third of their income running a car.

We would all be much healthier without the pollution from tyres, brakes and exhausts and we would have acres of agricultural land when we rip up motorways and car parks to grow our own food and build houses for those in need.

We would prevent the waste of the earths rapidly diminishing precious natural resources so that they would still be available for future generations.

These are but a few of the advantages to be gained if we put our minds to it. We did manage without them not so very long ago.
