Illusionist reveals string of city shows

-

ONE of the most famous British magicians of all time will perform a string of shows in Bristol next year.

Derren Brown, who is loved far and wide for his mind control stunts and illusions, is bringing his Showman tour to Bristol Hippodrome as part of an eightmonth UK tour.

The 50-year-old former University of Bristol student will play the city centre theatre between May 24 and 28.

Derren said: “2022 will be the biggest tour I’ve done in 20 years. It’s exciting and daunting and I’m considering a bigger suitcase. Maybe even a four-wheeler. It’s madness and I can’t wait.”

Derren’s mindbending live shows have won him two prestigious Olivier Awards – for Something Wicked This Way Comes in 2006 and Svengali in 2012 – and he has received more Olivier nominations and wins than any other one-man show in theatre history. He has played to sold out venues across the country every year since 2003, to more than 1.6 million people.

Tickets are now on sale at The Bristol Hippodrome for Theatre Card holders. General tickets will go on sale tomorrow at 10am from ATG’s website or on 0844 871 7615.
