Recruitment problems

MORE firms are planning to hire staff in the coming months but are increasingly having problems recruiting staff, a new study suggests.

A survey of 5,700 companies indicated that sectors which have been harder hit during the pandemic, such as hotels and catering, are seeing a rise in recruitment plans. The British Chambers of Commerce said the highest proportion of firms attempting to recruit were in production and manufacturing and construction.
