Man in critical condition after wounding incident
A MAN is in critical condition after he received significant neck wounds in an incident in Bristol.
He was taken to hospital following the incident in Bedminster. His condition was not initially believed to be life-threatening but police have confirmed he has deteriorated and his condition is now described as critical.
Then incident occurred near the junction of Elmdale Road and Luckwell Road in the early hours of Wednesday, August 25.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Constabulary said: “The victim’s condition has deteriorated and he is currently in a critical condition. Enquiries are still ongoing to determine what caused the wound.”
A man has since been charged in connection with the incident.
Scott Lippiatt, 20, of South Libert Lane, Ashton, has been charged with Section 18, wounding with intent. He appeared at Bristol Magistrates Court on August 28.
He has been remanded in custody ready to appear at Bristol Crown Court on September 27.
