Revellers party the weekend away at hit festival

-

THOUSANDS of people partied the weekend away at Love Saves The Day.

The multi-genre festival – which first took place at Castle Park in 2012 – returned for its ninth edition at the weekend and saw around 50,000 people descend upon Clifton Downs to enjoy a weekend packed full of music, good times and great weather.

Normally kicking off festival season in late May, for the first time Love Saves The Day took place in September and on Clifton Downs, rather than Eastville Park which it had called home since 2015.

Those playing the two-day event included acclaimed singer-songwriter Mahalia, rappers Little Simz, Slowthai and Ghetts and Bristol electronica band Elder Island.

The festival took place on the same site where Bristol punk band Idles played a triumphant homecoming show on Friday – for our review see page 4.
