Swimming sensation Reece Dunn scooped a staggering three gold medals on his Paralympics debut in Tokyo.
But sporting success on the world’s greatest stage was far from guaranteed just a few years ago. Diagnosed with autism when he was 13, Reece was until
recently training that he struggled with mental health issues during lockdown, as well as contracting Covid during the build-up to the Games.
But he overcame the odds in spectacular fashion to triumph in Tokyo, winning gold medals in the 200m freestyle, 4x100m free style relay and the 200m indi vidual medley, smashing three world records in the process.
