Found Hea closes for new venture

-

AN ethical clothing business in Bristol will cease trading so that its owner can focus on a new project.

Found Hea started out as a shipping container shop at Cargo, Wapping Wharf in 2017 before relocating to a larger site in Quakers Friars at the end of last year, in collaboration with another independent retailer.

But after four years of selling ethically sourced and sustainable clothing from two shop units and online, Found Hea will draw to a close on August 22 with the remaining stock being sold in an online sale.

Company founder Sam Mabley is not leaving the sustainable clothing industry altogether though, instead turning his attention to his other business, Yes Friends, which he launched earlier this year.

Yes Friends sold more than 4,000 T-shirts in its first month and was backed by more than 100 MPs and peers in a letter penned to fast fashion giants.

Sam said: “Yes Friends exists to make ethical clothing affordable.

“Yes Friends wouldn’t be here without Found Hea. Without the highs and lows. The endless learning, from accounting and copywriting to web design and sewing. Thank you so much for all the support you’ve given these past few years. To those who painted, put up shelves, laid floors, were endlessly encouraging, bought from us and just popped into store for a chat. You kept this dream going.”
