Man, 27, in court to face rape charge

A 27-YEAR-OLD man from Easton has been remanded in custody after being charged in connection with the alleged rape of a women which happened in Bristol last month.

Nasradin Kakl appeared before Bristol Magistrates’ Court yesterday morning over an incident which is alleged to have happened in Baldwin Street in the early hours of Sunday, October 20.

In a statement published by Avon and Somerset Police yesterday, it said the charges follow after a public appeal for information was launched.

Kakl was remanded in custody pending an appearance at Bristol Crown Court on December 7.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: “A man has been remanded in custody after appearing in court today charged with rape. The charges follow a public appeal for information after the rape of a woman in Baldwin Street, Bristol, in the early hours of Sunday, October 30.
