700k in home with no heating

-

NEARLY one in four household residents in England are likely to have a long-term health condition, according to new data from the 2021 census.

Around one in six are estimated to have a disability, while 1% live in a home without central heating.

The figures have been published by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) in order to “inform and support” the Government’s response to the cost-of-living crisis.

Some 17% of people – 9.4 million – said they had a disability in line with the 2010 Equality Act.

An estimated 699,500 people lived in a home without central heating – down from 1.1 million in the 2011 census.
