Moor Road to close for cabling works

-

A BUSY link across the moors in North Somerset is to close for a month. Moor Road in Yatton will close from November 21 until December 23 to allow high voltage underground cables to be installed.

The road is a busy rural route from Yatton across the moors to Clevedon and onto Nailsea. The closure will be in place between Ham Lane to the junction of Kenn Moor Road.

A diversion will be put in place. Emergency access to Moor Road will be maintained. The work is being carried out by National Grid, for whom a spokesman said: “The work is to improve the electricity supply for a nearby business customer.

“We apologise for any inconvenience this work will cause.”
