We’re left to pay the price
✒ MARVIN Rees saying there is a council budget nightmare and no red lines to cuts is a fantastic afterthought for the man who caused it all.
The council needs to find between £37 million and £62 million in budget savings. Yet this is the same man who squandered over £107 million on the Colston Hall refurbishment – that is still not open – and £46 million on Bristol Energy. That’s a total of £153 million just on those two projects, both of which are abject failures.
You spent the money, Mr Rees, and it is the poor people of Bristol who now have to pay the price for your actions.
