Suburban Hartrey and Gough brothers among the goals in House win

IT was a family affair at Little Stoke Playing Fields as Broad Plain House Reserves beat Stokeside 7-1 in a game swapped from Creswicke Road because of a unfit pitch.

The Gough brothers, Archie and Micky, bagged braces, while the Hartrey brothers, Ashton and Rohan, were also on target. Will Osbourne scored their other goal, while ‘Skip’ Horseman struck the Stokeside consolatio­n goal.

Teenage strikers Luca, 16, and Andreas, 17, have shared all of Port of Bristol’s goals in the last five games. Andreas scored twice to help Port of Bristol move into second place in Division Four courtesy of a 3-1 win at Hartcliffe FC Reserves.

In the Premier Division, leaders Avonmouth beat promotion rivals Filton Athletic 2-0 to maintain their 100 per cent record, with Josh Pearce on target to continue his run of scoring in every game. Charlie Aldom scored the other goal.

At Headley Park, visitors Mangotsfie­ld United Reserves gained their first win of the season, 3-0 against St Aldhelms.

Easton Cowboys were another team to gain their first win, edging out Lawrence Weston Athletic 3-2 at Whitehall.

Nathaniel Johnson (2), Alex Welford and Callum Osmond were the Rockleaze Rangers Reserves scorers in a 4-1 home win over Old Cothamians.

In the Somerset Senior Cup, Broad Plain House progressed with a 1-0 win over Winscombe, but Parson Street OB suffered a 10-1 defeat to Keynsham Town Reserves at the AJN Stadium.

In the Senior Division, a surprise 5-2 home defeat for previous leaders Southmead CS Athletic against Hartcliffe FC gave Redbridge the chance to move back into pole position. Templar, with a hat-trick, and goals from Patchett and Dyer earned Hartcliffe the points.

Redbridge took full advantage beating Cosmos UK 5-2 at Somerdale. Sam Preston gave Redbridge the lead with Ed Searle and Ben Fews sharing the other four goals. Asher Pirie and Jamie Mahmutyazc­ioglu replied for Cosmos.

Goals from Simon Palmer, George Holgate and Kevin de Cristfaro helped Jamaica Bell to a 3-2 home win over Stoke Gifford United Reserves. They are level on points with the top two.

At the Field, Fishponds OB and Almondsbur­y Reserves drew 2-2. Charlie Balner scored both goals for Fishponds.

In the derby at Stockwood Wanderers Reserves, a goal from Liam Saunders earned AFC Whitchurch a point.

In the Somerset Senior Cup, Hengrove Athletic Reserves lost 4-0 to Clevedon United.

Two of the three teams with 100 per cent records are in Division One. Leaders St Vallier beat Little Stoke Reserves 5-2, thanks to goals from Tom Butt (2), Finlay Dorrington (2) and Darryl Cazley.

Three second-half goals from Ridings High earned them their first win of the season, 3-2, at home to Phoenix NG, who led 2 0 at halftime. Old Cothamians Reserves are up to third place following a 2-1 victory at Filton Athletic Reserves, whose goal came from Harrison Bailey.

Goals from Bon Whitlick and Hamza Muktar gave Bristol Phoenix a 2-1 win at Bromley Heath United Reserves, while Rockleaze Rangers A won 6-1 at Mangotsfie­ld United A.

Division Two leaders Broad Plain House Reserves have a six-point lead from Cadbury Heath Reserves who beat Parson Street Reserves 4-3 in an exciting game at Somerdale. Brae Williams (3) and Mitchell Quirke scored for Heath.

Cutters Friday Reserves registered their first win of the season, 3-0 at home to Wessex Wanderers Reserves.

Only one game was played in Division Three because of the GFA Minor Cup and FC Union Bristol shortened the gap at the top to four points by beating Rockleaze Rangers C 5-1 with braces from Brad Mead and Tim David. Mitch Player scored their other goal.

In the GFA Minor Cup, four teams won through to the next round. In an-all Suburban League clash, St Aldhems Reserves beat Socius United 5-4. Sam Payne, Ollie Louch, Luca Allison and Dave Bennett were on target for United.

There were away wins for Fishponds OBs Reserves, 4-0 at Seymour United Reserves, and Hanham Abbotonian­s Reserves, 3-2 on the Downs against Sneyd Park A. Supreme Sports drew 2-2 at Saints OB A and won the penalty shootout 4-3.
