Humphreys’ hat-trick keeps Heritage top of Senior table

HERITAGE United stepped up their Senior Division promotion drive with a 4-2 victory at Yate Rangers in the Bristol Premier Sunday League.

The Senior Division leaders wrapped up their fifth win in six games this season thanks to a hat-trick from Jac Humphreys and a goal from Ross Lawson. Scott Strauss struck twice for Rangers.

Borussia Bristol’s 100 per cent record ended with a 5-0 defeat at Galenicals, while SWYD United enjoyed a 4-0 home triumph against Breakaways.

In the only Premier Division game played, second-placed Bristol Academia remain unbeaten following a 3-1 home win against Wick Sunday, for whom Owen Humphries scored.

In the Kahuna Flooring Cup, two goals from Mitchell Dann led Houselande­r to a 4-2 home win against Warwick.

Shire Green Rovers overcame Rising Sun 3-0, Signal Generals edged out Longreach Athletic 1-0, while two goals from Hugo Gregory helped Supreme Cuts beat Hambrook United 3-0.

In the sole Division two game played, a hat-trick from Tyler Dacres led Sodbury Albion to a 4-1 success at Hanham Abbotonian­s.

In Division Three, the basement battle between Bristol Jaguars and Starfield United ended in an entertaini­ng 5-5 draw. Tazz ClarkeDown­er cracked a hat-trick for Starfield.

North Bristol Victory Reserves had a 6-1 triumph at Hanham Abbotonian­s, while a treble from Tommy Sweeten guided Bristol Argyle to a 4-3 win at Shadwell Rovers, for whom Edd Smith struck twice.

Fishponds Town Wizards, the Division Four leaders, marched on at the top with a 4-2 home win against The Argonauts.

De Veys 1923 had a 9-4 win at bottom side Bristol Blues. Cody Vile led the goal spree with a double hat-trick.

Jake George, Tom Noades and Mo Salihu each scored twice as Digital Dash won 7-1 at Longreach Athletic Reserves.
