Festival reveals first wave of acts

-

AWARD-WINNING music festival Dot to Dot has announced its first wave of artists for its May bank holiday event in Bristol.

The one-day festival is known for bringing some of the best rising stars of the music world onto the stage.

Organisers had a successful 2022 summer comeback after 2021’s event was postponed until September and is now fresh from being shortlisted in the Best Metropolitan Festival category at the UK Festival Awards. The festival is hosted at indoor music venues across the city, which are yet to be announced, coming to Bristol on May 27 and then heading to Newcastle the day after.

In 2023, the festival will continue its tradition of spotlighting the very best emerging talent in the UK. Leeds post-punk band Yard Act have been selected as next year’s headliners – they have enjoyed success this year with their Mercury Award-nominated debut record The Overload.

Joshua Ward said: “We’re extremely pleased to be announcing the very first names on the bill for Dot to Dot Festival, again with an incredibly innovative and diverse line-up of emerging artists. We have carefully selected these acts who begin to make up what is set to be an exciting 2023.”

Yard Act will be joined by Toronto-based indie outfit Alvvays, Finn Foxell and Kofi Stone, among others. Tickets for Dot to Dot are priced from £25.
