New Mango store to open next year

FASHION brand Mango was recently named among a host of high street brands due to open at The Mall in Cribbs Causeway.

Four retailers – Mango, The Works, Rituals and Suit Direct – were announced as coming to the shopping centre in the near future after signing contracts, while toy shop The Entertainer has just opened a new store at the retail hub.

Mango has been earmarked for a 10-year lease at the former Gap unit located between the

Apple and Sky stores towards the centre of The Mall.

Gap announced last year it was to close 81 of its stores in the United Kingdom and Ireland by the end of September, but there are still five in the country, soon to be six.

Spanish retailer Mango launched in 1984 and has grown to become one of the leading fashion groups in the world, offering an extensive store network in 110 countries.

Mango will be moving into the 3,858sq ft unit, with a 2,104sq ft mezzanine, in Cribbs.

A spokesperson for Mango told the Post that while the exact opening date had not been confirmed, it definitely would not be this year. The opening is currently set for midway through 2023, around May, June or July.

It will mark the fashion brand’s second store in the Bristol area after the shop in Cabot Circus, located between & Other Stories and TAG Heuer on the ground

floor of the shopping centre.
