I’VE just learned of the evidence report into 20mph limits in Bristol.
It shows that Bristol’s low-cost 20mph limits are saving four to five lives every year, preventing 11 serious injuries and saving the emergency services in excess of £15 million a year.
Wow! That is a genius simple policy. No wonder other cities across the UK are copying Bristol. Only petrolheads and dinosaurs can be against this.
Yes, that fits.
20mph is great for Bristol and is saving lives and money, just like the seatbelt law did when that came into effect in 1983.
