Body found in hunt for missing man

POLICE trying to find a missing man from Bristol have discovered a body.

Officers have been searching for 46-year-old Kevin, who was last seen at around 11.30am on Monday in Hengrove.

An urgent appeal was issued by Avon and Somerset Police that night. However, the force announced yesterday afternoon that officers had found a body. A statement said the death was not believed to be suspicious.

A police statement said: “Officers searching for missing 46-year-old Kevin from Bristol have today (Tuesday) sadly found a body. Formal identification has not yet taken place; however, we have informed Kevin’s family. We’ll continue to provide them with support. The cause of death is not believed to be suspicious. Inquiries will be carried out on behalf of the coroner.”
