Patchway back on top after 12-goal show

PATCHWAY Town Reserves took advantage of Thornbury Town Reserves having a late postponeme­nt to return to the top of the Senior Division with a 12-0 home hammering of Henbury

Reserves.

Gassama Ismafoot led the way with a hat-trick, while the other goals came from Jean Claude Berloius (2), Kieran Terry (2), Brandon Ditane, Cameron Adams, Matthew Davies, Riley Morris and James Hall.

Third-placed Bedminster Down, with games in hand on the top two, will also be fancying their title chances this season following a 5-1 win at Chipping Sodbury Town A. Jacob Littlewood, Dean Yandell and Callum Mogg were among the scorers for Down, while Troy Willey was on target for Sodbury.

Totterdown United Reserves had goals from Jasper Momoney (2), Charlie Curling, Toby Carter, Justin Barry and Mike Collins in a 6-1 home win against Old Sodbury.

Aden Fowles scored twice for Longwell Green Sports A in a 2-1 home win against Highridge United.

Division One leaders Bendix had goals from Callum Beale, Will Refino, Luke Harding and Chris Sweeney in a 4-1 victory against Winterbour­ne

United Reserves. Sea Mills Park

are in second place after goals from Josh Holmes (2) and Tom Russell secured a 3-1 win against Hambrook Reserves.

Seymour United won 3-0 at Tormarton, thanks to goals from Mitch Saunders (2) and Joseph Hinestroza, while strikes from Skye Allen (2) and Arron Turner gave Brimsham Green a 3-1 home win against Olveston United Reserves.

Tray Merritt scored all five goals for Lawrence Weston in a 5-4 success at Pucklechur­ch Sports, whose goals came from Lewis Densely (2), Ben Shaw and Joe Goss.

There was a great goalscorin­g performanc­e in Division Four where Louis Cordice scored seven times in Redfield Rovers’ 13-0 win against Hanham Athletic Reserves.
