Wicked start to 2024 announced

JANUARY is not usually a month for celebration, but that will not be the case for musical fans, following the announcement Wicked will return to Bristol in 2024.

A major 10-city tour in UK and Ireland was announced on Friday and the critically acclaimed touring production will fly back to Bristol Hippodrome for just over a month from Tuesday, January 23 to Sunday, February 25 in 2024.

End and Broadway musical has received rave reviews in the past for its incredible storytelling of Witches of Oz.

Based on the novel by Gregory Maguire, Wicked imagines a beguiling backstory and future possibilities to the lives of L. Frank Baum’s beloved characters from The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and reveals the decisions and events that shape the destinies of two unlikely university friends on their journey to becoming Glinda The Good and the Wicked

Witch of the West.

Ben Phillips, theatre director of The Bristol Hippodrome, adds: “It is an absolute pleasure to have this gravity-defying performance back in Bristol once again.
