Teenager goes missing

A 15-year-old boy from South Gloucestershire has been reported missing after last being seen in Newport.

Edward Melville-Brown was last seen in the Pill area of the city last Tuesday.

Also known as Ned, he is described as white, around 5ft 5in tall, of slim build and with short fair hair.

He was last seen wearing black and grey clothing and was riding a black bike. He has known links to Newport.

Officers are growing concerned for Ned’s welfare.

An appeal has been put out by Gwent Police to help trace him. The force’s statement said: “Anyone with any information on his whereabouts is asked to call us on 101 or send us a direct message on social media, quoting log reference 2200386890.

“Ned is also urged to get in touch with us to confirm that he is safe and well.”

Gwent Police confirmed he had links to the Welsh town.
