Filip fires Life Church through

DIVISION One leaders Life Church continued their good season by reaching the semi-finals of the Churches League Cup with a 5-3 win against Clevedon Family Church at Clevedon School.

A hat-trick from Filip Purski, plus strikes from Matthew Paramore and Kieran Sargent, fired Life Church through, while Clevedon stayed in the contest with goals from Steven Lafford (2) and Lewis Mundy.

In the only Division Two game played, Rock Crusaders Reserves gained their first point of the season, at the seventh attempt, from a 2-2 draw against Life Church Reserves at Badminton.

Jackson Cross and Finlay Cross scored for Rock, with Theo Allen and Sam Hood on target for the visitors. » In Downs League Division One, Ashley remain stuck to the foot of the table after a 5-0 defeat by Clifton St Vincents, who moved up

Portland OB won 2-1 against Torpedo in the only other Division One action.

Sneyd Park Reserves stayed top of Division Two after being given a walkover by Evergreen Athletic, while second-placed Sporting Turin won 3-1 against Durdham Down AS.

Unbeaten Clifton St Vincents A marched on at the top of Division Three with a 3-0 victory against Portland OB Reserves.

Division Four leaders Jersey Rangers Reserves made it seven wins out of seven with a 6-0 success against Saints OB B.
