M32 closed over concern for man

AN incident on the M32 yesterday led to the motorway being closed in both directions at Junction 3 in St Paul’s.

Avon and Somerset Police said there had been concern for the welfare of a man on the road.

They were called to Lower Ashley Road at around 5am. Officers praised a member of the public for showing the individual “great compassion” as they stayed with him until emergency services arrived.

The force said the man was taken to hospital.

It was reported there were diversions in place, via the entry and exit slip roads, and queuing traffic in the area. The M32 fully reopened at around 7.30am.
