Cemetery to host vampire movie

-

FANS of the hit film Twilight will be able to get their vampire fix next week in one of Bristol’s spookiest settings.

Arnos Vale Cemetery will offer an apt backdrop for a movie marathon hosted by Bristol Film Festival, which is well-known for turning atmospheric locations into pop-up cinemas.

Organisers say the restored Anglican chapel in the heart of the cemetery “has become a firm favourite with our audiences” for anything from family-friendly comedies to chilling horrors.

Next Wednesday, three films will be screened in succession – The Nightmare Before Christmas followed by ET and ending with a showing of Twilight.

Organisers said they put on the extra Twilight screening “due to massive demand for our November screenings”.

People will have the option to watch all three films in one night or just book in for their favourite one.

The evening will start with The Nightmare Before Christmas at 5.30pm, before a 40th anniversary screening of ET at 7.30pm, followed by Twilight, with doors opening at 10.10pm for a 10.30pm start.

Tickets can be booked online, with prices per film starting at £9.50 per child and £15.50 per adult.

Concession tickets cost £12.50 and registered carers will be admitted for free. There will be a pop-up bar, but no parking will be available.
