I loved my GTi ... but not for £55k!
One of the best cars I’ve owned was a Peugeot 205 GTi 1.9.
It wasn’t very well made and was a bit flimsy but, wow, was it great fun to drive.
I sold it for about twelve hundred pounds in the late
Nineties and wish I still had it.
Now a British company called Tolman Engineering has announced it is building “Restomod” 205 GTis including a 16-valve cylinder head and MoTeC engine management.
All cars are built using shells back to bare metal and finished with anti-corrosion techniques.
Sounds great until you read prices start at £55k.
I loved mine but not that much.
