The team of screw-up British intelligence agents is back. Gary Oldman, Kristin Scott Thomas, Jack Lowden and Saskia Reeves lead the cast in this excellent dark comedy about the ‘slow horses’, the disgraced agents who serve in MI5’s dumping ground department, Slough House. A double bill opener kicks off with retired spy Dickie Bow (the brilliant Phil Davis) spotting someone familiar and covertly following him.
Poor old Dickie then ends up dead on a bus, having fallen victim to a suspected heart attack. More confusing for the horses is their old boss Lamb (Oldman) is actually working. He finds Bow’s mobile with a note containing one word: “Cicadas”. But what does it mean?
