Squeezy living City’s ‘narrowest house’ is on the market for £300k

THIS unique one-bed property has got people talking and for once it’s not about the price tag attached.

Located on Nine Tree Hill in Bristol, this home is believed to be possibly the narrowest house in the city.

At the front, at its narrowest, it is only 7.5 feet wide and even the rear of the wedge-shaped property is only 11.4 feet wide.

From open brick walls to crisp white walls, the Stokes Croft property is though beautifully kept.

The £300,000 property’s narrow width has caught the attention of eagle-eyed home-hunters with one person posting an image of it on Reddit with the caption: “Smallest home in Bristol?” Arranged over three separate floors, the house has all the qualities of any of the bigger properties on the market.

As you come in the front door you walk into an entrance hall that takes up the front half of the ground floor, with three separate storage spaces.

Up the stairs is the main living space where you will find an openplan living room and kitchen.

Open and bright, the kitchen design makes the most of the area available and there is plenty of cupboard space for pots and pans. Finished in a clean white and woodeffect look, there is even a mini breakfast bar.

The bright feel continues into the living room area, but this time it feels a little more cramped. With the house being so narrow, it’s no wonder the furniture currently in the property makes the space look tiny.

On the final floor, there is a bathroom and the one bedroom. The bathroom is large considering the house size and allows for a lot of light to enter the room through the massive window. The bedroom is also a decent size.

Off the bedroom, the property also offers a small private balcony.

While the price might seem like a lot for a one-bed house of that size, people on Reddit were loving what it had to offer. One person said: “Say what you want about the price, but that’s just really good architecture. The use of space is fantastic.”

Another wrote: “For a one-bed house I think the sizes are great. The bedroom is bigger than any bedroom in my house and the lounge is much bigger than mine too. It has character and great views. If it wasn’t for that fact that it’s a one-bed I’d be tempted!”

A third penned: “It’s got much better storage than most flats at a similar cost. 3x decent cupboard rooms downstairs.”

The property is being marketed by Bristol estate agent Maggs & Allen.
