BRISTOL CITY PLAYER RATINGS

-

MAX O’LEARY - 6

Other than two shots in the first half, he did not have a whole lot to do. The two saves were good ones however, palming a Tom Eaves effort out and tipping Hakeem Odoffin’s powerful header from the subsequent corner over the bar.

ROSS MCCRORIE - 7

Always draws players to him, holding them off with his physicality before laying it off but did not get into the game as much as he usually does in an attacking sense. Was not troubled defensively.

GEORGE TANNER - 7

As was the case for most of the defence, it was a quiet afternoon. There were one or two times when he got forward, with one particular drive to the byline being effective when he cut it back where someone should have been to sweep it home.

ROB DICKIE - 7

He did not have much to do but spread a couple of nice balls out to Pring who had some space on the left. Initiated a quick direct attack with a piercing forward ball as well in the second half.

HAYDON ROBERTS - 6

After a run of three man-of-the-match performances for City, Roberts started well as a deft dummy sold his man and ran into the space on the left before putting in a decent ball which eluded Tommy Conway. Despite a nice lofted pass to Conway after that, though, his passing was a little astray.

CAM PRING - 7

Was his usual physical self as he darted into the box on occasion only for his crosses to be blocked. Found Conway with some nice strong passing at times. Strong in defence and even had a wild shot in the first half after finding space.

MATTY JAMES - 7

Made some good runs forward in the first half. Played a lovely one-two with Conway on the counter which the striker probably should have finished off but hit at the goalkeeper.

JOE WILLIAMS - 6

Got about the pitch putting in a couple of crunching tackles on the opposition. Played some nice balls into space out wide to dictate the play but received a booking for a cynical foul later on.

ANIS MEHMETI - 6

A solid showing from the Albanian international who came into the starting XI for Mark Sykes. Was bright and energetic, helping to smother the opposition high up to win the ball back. Made some nice runs in behind.

SCOTT TWINE - 8

It was a fine afternoon for Twine who showed his class. His free-kick in the second half summed it all up as he tucked it up and away past the despairing Dillon Phillips. Was very clever with his runs all game.

TOMMY CONWAY - 7

Found plenty of space with his runs throughout his hour on the pitch. Won the penalty and dispatched with his usual swagger. Could have slotted Twine in before his goal before deciding to take it on himself with the ‘keeper saving. SUBSTITUTES
