ASTAR Wars auction featuring items from Dave Prowse’s estate is expected to raise thousands later this month.

Southmead-raised Dave, famous for playing Darth Vader in the hit film series, died in 2020, along with co-star Jeremy Bulloch, who portrayed Boba Fett.

And now an auction of items from the pair’s combined estate is set to go under the hammer at Auctioneum in Hanham.

Auctioneer Andrew Stowe said: “Both actors had remarkable collections from their travels around the world – and they weren’t small collections either.

“Both gentlemen had amassed thousands of items and this sale is really the final chance to secure something special.

“Dave Prowse was born in Bristol and when we first sold items from his estate in 2021 I think the whole world turned up to bid.

“It was the most amazing experience and a real honour.

“Having the most famous villain in all of cinema history born in our city is just wonderful.”

Darth Vader fans have the chance to purchase more than 50 special lots from the estate.

They include original Darth Vader book illustrations, original promotional clips from Star Wars that he was allowed to keep after filming, and an original poster from his other revered role as the Green Cross Man from the iconic Green Cross Code public information films of the Seventies.

More than 150 other items from Jeremy Bulloch’s collection, including special action figures, photographs and artwork given to him by fans are among the other items going under the hammer.

Fans of Boba Fett from around the world are expected to battle for a rare comic book, which carries a pre-auction estimate of £400 to £600, that features the first ever appearance of the character.

The special Star Wars auction takes place on May 24 from 10am. The full catalogue can be viewed at
