GETTING THERE

East Midlands Railway trains run twice hourly from London St Pancras to Sheffield (around 2hr), from where the no. 218 bus runs direct to Chatsworth’s main entrance (hourly; 45 min). www.eastmidlandsrailway.co.uk

CHATSWORTH HOUSE

Chatsworth is open daily from late March until early January. Christmas at Chatsworth runs from 6 November 2021 to 9 January 2022. Check opening times and book tickets at www.chatsworth.org.

WHERE TO STAY AND EAT

Sample superb meat and produce reared and grown on the estate in the restaurants and cafés of the old stable block next to the main house.
