Collecting flints

-

Following an article on flint tools found in Scotland (feature Nov/Dec 2017/157), I thought you would be interested to know that I have recently donated to Maidstone Museum, Kent, my collection of 318 stone age worked flints (accession number m mnemg 2019.1). The They were collected by myself in the 1960s from a small portion of Linden Farm near Maidstone, where I grew up. Over the years the farm has been split into two areas, and now is under further development so I am pleased that my collection has been both saved and retained in the location from which it originated.
