School’s touch­ing trib­ute to the fallen

A GROUP of Malt­man’s Green School girls joined head­mistress Mrs Par­don and bur­sar Mr Beer at the Ger­rards Cross Ser­vice of Re­mem­brance on Sun­day Novem­ber 11.

The school’s Re­mem­brance events be­gan on Fri­day Novem­ber 9 with a spe­cial as­sem­bly led by Mr Beer, who served for 32 years in the Royal Air Force.

Mr Beer was as­sisted by a num­ber of girls who re­cited their own spe­cial re­mem­brance poems and re­vealed some in­ter­est­ing facts about the Great War.

On the Sun­day Ser­vice of Re­mem­brance at Ger­rards Cross the girls laid a wreath for fallen ser­vice men and women of the Great War, and since.
