The Proctors have placed their striking, yet functional, kitchen right at the heart of the home in the open-plan living area. is was an element where Lynette really took charge. “I wanted plenty of space and drawers to organise things as I like to be able to find everything easily”, she says. e white gloss-finish cabinets and etched glazed panels are contrasted with a green glass splash back and granite worktops. Lynette developed the idea of a semi-circular seating area within the island from features she saw in magazines. “It’s really handy for breakfast”, she says. She also chose dual ovens, a warming drawer and an induction hob on the island.
