SOFIA DELGADO

is Build It’s assistant editor. She has a keen eye for the latest news, products and projects to inspire your scheme (page 9). On page 138 she talks to Ted Stevens about a new community self build in south London.

TIM DOHERTY was the founding MD of the NSBRC and runs Dobanti property surveyors. He advises on a range of project issues, including finance. On page 97 he looks at how fire regulations could affect your scheme.

MIKE DADE is a planning specialist and plot-finding expert. He’s the author of several must-read books on land and planning. This month he shares his top tips on how to successfully bag a bargain plot of land at auction (page 105).

OPINDER LIDDAR is director of award-winning practice Lapd Architects and a regular expert at the Build It Live shows and the National Self Build & Renovation Centre. He is the design brains behind Build It’s Benchmark House. NIGEL GRIFFITHS is a sustainability consultant and author of Haynes’ Eco House Manual, and a fount of knowledge for heating options. This month he looks at what you can do to create a more water-efficient home (page 108).
