Vaulted ceilings...

e tall ceiling in the dining area is central to the modern revamp. Creating the feeling of space and light, exposed roof trusses have also added structure and character to the room. e look was so successful that Mandi and Tim decided to repeat the process in the breakfast room.

e new ceilings have been insulated and all exterior walls in the open plan zones have insulation board added internally. is took up a bit of space but had the benefit of hiding wiring and pipes without cutting into the walls. For the finish, the Horwoods employed colour consultant, Jane Peckitt, from Bailey Paints, to choose paint for the space – the result being a blend of off white and pale greys.
