BBA Certified, Apollo Insulation Ltd provide a variety of composite laminates. Apollo’s heat reflective membrane Eco-brite® prevents 96% of radiating energy passing through structures including timber frame homes and cabins. It also acts as an excellent vapour barrier and helps make buildings air-tight. Used to replace the usual vapour barrier, it greatly improves heat retention when cold outside yet helps keep a building cool during hot weather. For example, in a brick/timber frame wall construction a U-value of 0.28 W/ m²k is achievable using the Eco-brite system with only 100mm of fibre insulation on a 90mm stud. Similar saving can also be made on loft conversions. For over 15 years it has been successfully specified within the fabric of homes providing a highly cost-efficient insulation method that meets current Building Regulations.
