Best Glazed Doors | Idsystems’ exclusive vistaline slide & turn doors win Build It award

Idsystems vistaline slide & turn doors were named ‘Best Glazed Doors’ at this Build It Awards with the judges praising the unique nature of the product, its innovative design and its userfriendly performance.

The Swiss designed system is the third of Idsystems technically advanced glazing products to pick up the prestigious award since 2015, following on from the success of the SUNFLEX SF55 bifold doors and THEEDGE ultra-slim sliding doors.

The innovative slide and turn system is capable of creating a complete opening like bifold doors yet with slimmer frames like sliding doors. vistaline offers the latest trend in the glazing market, providing a contemporary solution that consists of individual, non-connected panels that slide and stack to one end.

The thermally broken doors are designed with an industry leading combination of precision engineering, outstanding thermal performance and ultra-slim 45mm sightlines and are available with a flush track that includes a patented weather seal that contributes to an advanced protection from wind and rain.

The patented ‘flipper seals’ feature gaskets within the base and head tracks that rotate and seal against the frame of the panels, whilst the operation of the handle to secure the doors sees the side jamb extend to compress the panels together.

This compression, where the outer frame of one panel overlaps the next, seals the doors together increasing the overall weather tightness of the doors and providing (along with the multipoint locking in the side jamb) excellent security.

Each panel can be made up to 1,100mm wide and slides effortlessly on the top running track, with the overall system ideal for larger openings of up to 6,800mm wide and 2,650mm high. The doors can be configured to open to the left or right and either inside or out, to suit the requirements of the project.
