Modern rear extension to 1930s semi wins at Shropshire Design Awards

Ke-design have recently won a commendation in the ‘domestic extension’ category for a timber clad 2 storey rear extension in a conservation area. The 3 bedroom property had been empty for 10 yrs before the client approached Ke-design for their architectural services. Initially wanting a single storey extension, having just had twins Ke-design advised that the 3rd bedroom wasn’t going to be sufficient and a master bedroom with en-suite would be achievable if they went 2 storey.
