WHAT A TYPICAL SITE SURVEY SHOWS
Which way points north.
Any existing boundaries and their type, eg hedge.
The levels in and around the site, to a fixed datum.
If there is a steep slope, a section drawing showing this is essential, as it will be vital to enable a design.
Any existing buildings next to the site.
The adjacent roads, pavements and footpaths.
Trees and significant vegetation.
Manhole locations.
Other features – ie rock outcrops, pits and ponds.
