Build It

WE LEARNED...

-

BEFORE YOU COMMIT to buying a property, do your homework and ensure you understand the details prior to signing on the bottom line. Get the information you need about the house together first, so you can make a confident decision to move forward. Before we purchased ours, we’d already investigated all the ins and outs of the abode, because if our proposed scheme didn’t work out to be viable, we would have ended up spending a lot of money on the wrong place.

WORK WITH AN ARCHITECT or similar professional who is able to take you through the design of the scheme in fine detail. As a practice, we create videos and models to enable our clients to step into their new home in virtual reality. That means that when you take the plunge and spend your life savings on a property you want to renovate, you’ll have much more confidence you’re doing the right thing.

WHEN IT COMES TO PROJECT MANAGING a renovation yourself, ask plenty of questions – there’s a lot of free advice out there. If you get the right people on board, they’ll be willing to spend time explaining things.

PUT A BIG CHUNK OF THE BUDGET into the fabric of what you are doing – things like the heating and electrics. Don’t skimp on aspects to do with the construction side of things that you won’t be able to change later on.
