1 The first job is to fit the manifold. As there’s no plasterboard yet, the team screwed in a chipboard backer, which we’ll tack around

4 The team starts coiling out the 14mm high-density polyethylene Fastflo tube, which comes with a 10 year insurancebacked warranty 2 While the manifold goes in, the cliptrack is fixed into position. Note the polythene membrane, which will stop the screed escaping when it’s poured

5 Experience allows the team to confidently get the arrangement right first time, with only minor adjustments needed 3 The feed for the ensuite is hooked up to the manifold before any pipework gets clipped into place 6 The opposite end of the pipe is fed back into the manifold before being hooked up to the mixing valve
